Nansledan
Comm Comm has worked with The Duchy of Cornwall on the new masterplan for South East Faversham in Kent, so was approached by their sister team at Nansledan in Newquay, Cornwall, to deliver a branding and marketing strategy for the new development there. This was an opportunity to work with new delivery partners and collaborate with experts in marketing, branding and SEO.
Our role:
Comm Comm associate Jane Johnson, an award-winning content strategist, editorial director and PR, led on a project to rebrand and create new marketing assets for the Duchy of Cornwall’s Nansledan development near Newquay.
Jane worked with digital marketing expert Maggie Hitchins and graphic designer Steve Williams on this project.
Existing site:
A new development on the outskirts of Newquay in Cornwall, Nansledan is a thriving community which is already home to over 1,200 people and multiple businesses. Nansledan will eventually comprise 4,000 homes, with great connectivity to Newquay, beautiful coastline and local towns and villages.
Scheme deliverables:
To analyse SEO and the current customer journey and make recommendations for how this could be improved to attract potential house buyers
To identify the target demographic groups for the marketing and promotion of Nansledan to potential house buyers and future residents
Create profiles for the different demographic groups and identify best channels for marketing and publicity
To create a suite of assets for use in the promotion of Nansledan, including new photography, video assets, social media and website recommendations, and brochure templates
Rebranding work on the Nansledan logo, marketing copy and creating a set of branding guidelines to be rolled out across all materials
Full creative direction for producing the assets, including researching, booking and briefing photographers and videographers, models, stylists and editors to work on the assets.
Communications undertaken:
Meetings with project team and housebuilders on site to understand ambitions and challenges
Interviews with residents and local businesses, identifying local opportunities and ambassadors
Visiting and photographing community events
Liaising with creative professionals to co-ordinate photo and film shoots (as detailed above)
Administration of the project, including compiling compiling consent forms, permissions and obtaining permits
Regular client updates and presentation decks produced
Full suite of assets handed over to the client on completion, including over 300 new photos, four promotional films, a hero video and social cut downs.
Status of scheme:
All assets have been delivered and we await their roll out across the Nansledan channels and implemention of recommendations.y 2026.
