Our Role:
Planning communications for application to transform the building into a modern office space, while significantly reducing the building’s environmental footprint, improving its external façade and provide new and improved facilities for restaurant and offices.
Existing site:
1950s industrial red-brick office building in central Soho location, in need of an upgrade due to poor thermal performance, minimal carbon capture and outdated façade
Seek to maintain much of the building’s original design elements.
Scheme deliverables:
To deliver a lightweight, contemporary two storey roof extension, with minimal impact to surrounding views of Soho
An improved external façade, replacing a dated roller shutter garage door with active restaurant frontage, while upgrading old office doors and windows
Low-carbon retrofit - replacing single-glazed windows with double glazed, installing a green roof and providing planting storage to improve environmental performance
Modern office space and restaurant - refurbishing and modernising spaces, making them fit for the future, including rooftop amenities, planting to increase biodiversity, cycling storage and showers.
